Welcome

The belief that teacher preparation can be improved through collaborative efforts is one of the guiding principles of the Georgia Systemic Teacher Education Program (GSTEP), a grant initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Education and the Georgia Department of Education. The purpose of the grant is to enhance and improve all phases of teacher preparation by summoning the collaboration of all entities and departments involved. To work on this initiative in the area of foreign languages, the GSTEP Foreign Language Committee (GSTEP-FL) was formed at the University of Georgia. Our commitee consists of representatives from the Department of Language Education, the Department of Classics, the Department of Romance Languages, the Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages, and from the foreign language departments of Collins Hill, Grayson and Brookwood High Schools in metro Atlanta.
